2nd Falling Walls Lab in Japan confirmed: Tokyo

The German Research and Innovation Forum Tokyo and EURAXESS Links Japan will host the first Falling Walls Lab of Tokyo with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

In the past years, the Tohoku University was the only Falling Walls Lab chapter present in Japan. The Tokyo Lab invites outstanding talents and innovative thinkers of Southern Japan to share their research projects, social initiatives and business models in 3 minutes each.

The Falling Walls Lab Tokyo will take place on 29 August 2016.

A distinguished jury made up of members from academia, the industry and policy-making will select the most intriguing presentation. The winner will travel to Berlin and take part in the global Lab Finale on 8 November 2016. The winner will also receive a ticket for the Falling Walls Conference which takes place on 9 November 2016 and brings together world-class scientists presenting their current breakthroughs. Travel and accommodation expenses for Berlin are covered.
