Breaking the Wall between Top-Down and Bottom-Up. Are Top-Down and Bottom-Up Approaches Mutually Exclusive?
Anne Glover CBE FRSE FAAM is a Scottish biologist. She was appointed as the European Commission's first ever Chief Scientific Adviser in December 2011. Previously, from August 2006 to December 2011, she was the first ever Chief Scientific Adviser for Scotland. She also holds a Personal Chair of Molecular and Cell Biology at theUniversity of Aberdeen, along with honorary positions at the Macaulay and Rowett Institutes, and is a member of the Natural Environment Research Council. In 2009 she was made a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) for services to environmental science.
