Karel Sedlář wins the Falling Walls Lab Prague
On 2 June, the DAAD held its second edition of the Falling Walls Lab Prague in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut.
7 aspiring researchers pitched their innovative ideas in front of a renowned jury. The presentations dealt with various topics from different fields, e.g. computing, education and political science.
The winner of the Prague Lab qualified for the Falling Walls Lab Finale which takes place in Berlin on 8 November 2016.
Current metagenomics handles enormous volumes of sequence data. Unfortunately, standard character based techniques for data binning suffer from high computational demands and stochastic nature.
